I'm also happy to see an alternative mode of transportation is about to be offered for connection between both areas of the park. I am not a fan of the current cable car. Great views don't get me wrong but I have a fear of being held up at that hieght by a steel cable.

The MTR is the best use of transportation in the City. For Ocean Park it means Guest will be able to travel direct without having to catch a bus to the park. *** From my understanding, there will also be a shopping/entertainment area like Disney Downtown to be built around the Entrance *** I take it this will follow in the addition of the new hotels. Give praise to the Management of Ocean Park for being one step ahead of the game when it comes to competing with Disney. One park has a future and vision, while the other park is kind of just stuck there waiting for both of its owners to stop discussing and start building.

Hong Kong's MTR Corporation has won a deal to construct the second phase of the Shenzhen Metro Line 4. The deal also allows MTR to operate both phase one and phase two for 30 years. Shenzhen Metro Line 4 is a 20.5-kilometer, double- track urban railway running from Futian checkpoint at the Hong Kong and Shenzhen border, to Longhua new town in Shenzhen, with a total of 15 stations. Shenzhen Metro Line 4 is a short distance across the border from the MTR's Lok Ma Chau Station.

And the train line being built will only add to its attendance in a few years. HKDL better get its butt in gear soon. HKOP took up the challenge and is obviously not sitting on its butt.

I'm happy to report Hong Kong Disneyland does not have the same issues, so why should it be considered a bad park. But what ever issues the Govement and Disney have, need to quickly be sorted, The Ocean Park plans look great and its only years away from happening here, while Universal Studios Singapore is also not far from being completed, and with the Tokyo Disney Resort also now starting to promote more outside of Japan, the Asia market is really starting to heat up and Hong Kong Disneyland does not need to be left behind.
