I looked on google earth and didnt see one, but I became interested in a patch of land about 1/3 the size of DAK that was completely cleared/barren slightly NW of EE. Does anyone know for sure that this is the Disney Dump/Landfill? or is this something else. I dont think that it can be another area considering there are service roads around, but I dont know. I also saw 12 red stains that could be rust stains of the late Nautilus subs, but yet again, speculation. In short, is this place Disney's Dump? Curiosity.

Someday the whole of Disney will be ringed. Thank goodness it's as large as it is and can maintain it's own buffers.
Originally Posted By ssWEDguy The big clearing next to DAK in Post #4 is more interesting. I thought at first you were looking at the Disney Tree Farm that's to the north of DAK. But the area in Post #4 is between Asia and the Conservation Station. It's where the new Yak and Yeti restaurant is going in? But this cleared area seems way too big to be just for the restaurant. What is the rectangular tank-like structure at the southern edge of the clearing? It looks like it's meant to hold water.

It's mostly CM parking, but it is also used to store construction equipment and such, and probably is being actively used that way for the Contemporary expansion. Interestingly, that flat space was part of the MK's original design. A themed resort was supposed to go on that spot, the Persian Resort. Some original plans even showed the monorail travelling further north after leaving the Contemporary to stop at that resort. The beam would then have curved back through the MK in Tomorrowland, and back out front to where the station is now.

It's the same general style of construction as the Millenium Village in Epcot, but just a smaller scale. These types of buildings are used a lot for storage and stuff like that. For what it's worth, I just found a hidden Mickey crop cirlce. It's about the same size as the Magic Kingdom, so it's pretty big. It looks like it's off property, but it's pretty cool anyway. http://tinyurl.com/2kq5om
