Latest: Strawberry and Cozy Cone Ear Hats Released Next Week for Limited Time Magic

<p>The Official Disney Parks Blog has announced that starting next week, as a part of Limited Time Magic and The Year of the Ear, two new ear hats will become available, a Strawberry ear hat in Epcot and a Dozy Cone ear hat at Disney California Adventure. Both hats are available starting April 1.</p>

What's funny is they could have simply run the DCA/World Showcase egg hunt for a couple weeks longer, and people would have seen that as less of a cop-out than this, and would have taken less effort. The Golden Horseshoe show ran for several weeks; why is everything else limited to only 1 week?

We should also point out that several of the program's first weeks were highlighting merchandise (and specifically Mouse Ears). That was around the same time that LTM opened with a collective thud; coincidence?

The strawberry hats have been around for years. Nothing new.

Walt Disney World management is doing a pathetic job at running the LTM campaign. And I'm willing to give them some slack because the LTM campaign is so weak to begin with. But WDW is truly phoning this one week after week, and just has a perky blogger in a cubicle typing meaningless words about some new Chinese-made souvenir for sale in a theme park.

This is not a marketing campaign, it's just painfully bad Social Media gone very wrong.

Especially if the campaign is going to be this lame type of thing that just "brands" any regular offering or old souvenir as something worth marketing.

This campaign is getting embarrassing for them. It's just really lame.
