Guests who accept the mission will engage in a one-of-a-kind astronaut experience that launches them into a simulated space adventure -- from pulse-racing liftoff to the sensations of traveling though outer space on a mission to Mars.

I'm going in October, so I'm very curious to hear about it. The pictures look great but I haven't found anywhere that specifies what the ride is about.

All guests participating will become trainees at the International space training center. You will take one of four roles once entering the cabin. From there, you will have tasks to complete to land safely. The simulator is designed to show take off and flight with REAL G-forces. It is a trick of the mind, but your body will actually be able to sustain actual forces (and even weightlessness if I remember correctly) while in the cabin. This is followed by a post show game that I actually got to play, and it is quite fun. Very video-gamish, but it's cool if you have an active group of people. If you are a thrillrider at all, get to Epcot at park open and grab that fast pass ASAP.

But they've enhanced the INTERNAL cab experience with some interactive elements, and unlike the centrifuges pictured that feature only one cab on a single extended arm, each centrifuge in Mission:Space has, I think, about a DOZEN extended arms, each with their own cab. And each cab can move on its two axes, as well, helping with the simulation of effects.

If you dig deep enough, you'll find the press release of when this company actually got the contract with Disney for Mission:Space, but apparently they weren't allowed to reveal the name of the client (with good reason).
