Eo was similar to what I saw last week with the cast members, though, one thing added: the HISTA moving floor. And, I must EXCLAIM right now to Imagineers who may be reading this, PLEASE, delete the floor THUMP NOW. The floor works well for opening shots of the spaceship in flight/battle (in fact, I wish it was used more here). HOWEVER, imagineers made a really bad decision by adding the moving (THUMPING?) floor to THUMP to the "beat" (really not to the beat, it was very off) of MJ's main song. This was a major distraction to me and my friend who never saw Eo. We saw zero rationale to the purpose of this THUMPING. Was it supposed to be a SUBWOOFER beating? Just didn't get it. What it did was distract from Mr. MJ himself. We just wanted to see him sing and dance, and, this annoying THUMP that was so off the main beat was pounding all of us in the butts, and it was annoying and distracting. Simply put, I feel strongly that this needs to be dropped. Imagineers, if you can delete this THUMPING programming overnight (yet keep the spaceship movements), do this pronto before word virally spreads about how annoying this is. If it's easier to simply turn off the floor entirely, DO IT. All this being said, Eo was fine, boring beginning, fun dancing/singing in the middle and an OK ending. I have no desire to ever see it again, and, my guess is that it will not be as popular as one may perceive. Then it will be time to add, say, Philharmagic into this (I know, doesn't fit into Tomorrowland) Please tell us what you think of the THUMPING if you saw EO.

I was also disappointed to see MJ blurry most of the time (especially during close-ups; many wide shots look GREAT). I also agree that many people are going to rip the "Tribute" pretty hard over this if Imagineers don't hop on it soon! I was honestly wondering how people behind the scenes felt good about releasing this product to the public without REALLY making it amazing. With all that said, I do feel the film is strong enough to stand on it's own, and I'm really thankful to have EO back... it was an incredible experience back in the day, and I hope people are able to enjoy it on some different level (uplifting theme, vintage throw-back, cool dancing, cheesy special effects, etc), and not dwell too much on the negative! My 4 year old daughter LOVED it... [Sorry to write a mini-thesis... but it's fun to geek out over!]

Then, the joke was extended to include that every new attraction vehicle or ride update was being tested in the SSL building (eg - reconfigured Splash logs, Space Mountain loop, ODV carts, Capt. EO's thumping floor, ect). 3) When Space Mountain was being re-imagineered for DLR's 50th Anniversary, LPers joked that Disney was going to install a launch and loop (a la Paris Disneyland's Space Mountain). And, the loop feature was being tested in SSL. 4) Typing in "Dalmatians" as the 101st post in a thread. OK, now back to the discussion on EO's moving floor element.

I heard they were testing the new turnstyles for the DCA entrance in the Millionaire building... : )
