Fast forward a little more than eight years... add a beverage, cupcake dessert, and characters/entertainment... then double the price plus an extra dollar for good measure. I know inflation must be factored in, but that's ridiculous.

Originally Posted By Dabob2 <I don't remember my Walton characters, but I think he played Ben - Jon Walmsley. He is an awesome guitarist.> Jon Walmsley was Jason - the 2nd oldest. I figured it was him when you mentioned "Waltons" because he's been a fine musician for a while - they even let him play on the show periodically. For further Disney connections, he was in the "One and Only Genuine Original Family Band" and was the voice of Christopher Robin, no less (!) in Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day.

According to the CPI Inflation Calculator (<a href="http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl" target="_blank">http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl</a>), the 2001 price adjusted for inflation would be $16.84. Add another $6 for drinks and the cupcake and the price is still much higher than inflation adjustment would account for. I just find it bizarre that Disney is offering deep discounts on hotel rooms and dining plans to keep attendance levels from plummeting during this recession, but then allows BT BBQ to charge outrageous prices such as these. If there weren't any cheaper food choices nearby, I could understand taking a hostage mentality towards the park guests. But there are plenty of more affordable alternatives, both in park and at DtD. Simply stunning.
