Over the stay at WDW I noticed a good amount of parents taking their kids out early during the show, as well as a good amount of crying kids to prove my point of the effects are not kid friendly. So while it is nice hearing some people are liking SGE, I still consider it a failure is some ways due to the frantic changes WDI had to make in it's opening year. (Such as raising the height requirement twice to keep little kids out...even though little kids were their target audience with the humor.)

But when my son was 7, he couldn't get enough of it. Then he grew up and thought AE was just cheap effects. I thought AE was great, Stitch less so.

Besides, it worked well with Cranium Command where they mixed traditional animation (General Knowledge plus the entire pre-show) with all of the live-action film segments in the attraction. Both attractions deal with fantasy elements, so, I have no problem with traditional animation being used. I'm just personally not the biggest fan of Lilo and Stitch, but my kid is. I don't hate the movie, I just don't love it either. Same goes for the attraction. We see it because my kid loves it.

The whole attraction is dumb and offensive and has no place at the MK whether some people (mostly nine-year-old boys) like it or not. And I love Stitch. I think he's the best Disney (non-Pixar anyway) character they've created in the past decade. This was a terrible missed opportunity.
