Who loves the Transportation and Ticket Center?

The TTC seems like it should have be placed in the center of the resort. The Planning of Disney World is very bad and scattered all around with no planning. To bad they bulit exatcly what Walt did not want to happen. They could have built several hotels around one monorail station which would be in a central court yard.

The best thing about T&T is that I can take the ferry over to the MK. Getting closer and closer to the MK, with the wind blowing into my face. I love that ride. The times we've stayed it Tahiti, it was easier to skip over to the ferry than to hop on the monorail. Their use to be a topiary of Elliot there too.

It is funny. In the 10 trips (approximately 80 days worth) I have been to WDW I have used the Ticket and Transportation center once. I have ridden through on the resort monorail a few times.I have never taken the ferry across the 7 Seas lagoon.
But I didn't start going until 1996.

I liked the TTC when it was a true ticket and transportation center. You used to be able to go almost anywhere on property from the TTC. Now they have moved that all to Downtown Disney. The TTC was a heckuva lot more centrally located than Downtown Disney is!!

You have to try the ferry boat over at least once Danzz. Lots of fun. We usually don't get to the TTC because we stay on sight and are bused to the MK entrance. But we always take the monorail from Epcot so we can see the castle from the lagoon on the first day of our trip. Kind of out of the way, but a family tradition.

Sorry, but that's just not true. The MK and Epcot are both exactly in the place where Walt designed them to be. Of course Epcot the park isn't EPCOT the city, but the park's location is dead centered on the spot where the city was designed to be, with monorail connections between the two areas. The other parks are laid out very specifically, with a great amount of planning and consideration for traffic flow, care with the environment, etc.

As to the TTC, I do enjoy the concept of being somewhat separated from the park, and how you need to get on Disney transportation (monorail or ferry) to get to the park. It can be a bit tedious at the end of the day, though.

I'm also glad this thread was titled correctly - Transportation and Ticket Center (not the Ticket and Transportation Center!).
