What would you rather see; DJ's performance in 2012 with a gazillion people crowding around waiting for their Radiator Springs Racers Fastpass time, or a performance of Three Bags Full from 2001 with about four people glancing at their creepy show on their way to Superstar Limo?

Funny! Thanks for the good chuckle.

If Three Bags Full were actually something people liked, even with the small amount of visitors DCA was pulling in the first half of 2001, they would have lasted more than four months. They were yanked by mid-summer, as I remember.

I found them creepy and unnerving. That said, I did pause to watch them a couple of times when I first saw them in early '01. It wasn't a good time, and I have no valid excuse why I stopped to watch them, but I did.

To be fair, I also stopped to watch the DJ show in Cars Land. It's not that great; probably one of the weakest elements of Cars Land. It involves a tricked out Scion named DJ who attracts several tarted up waitresses from Flo's who can't believe the car talks (HELLO GIRLS?!? You allegedly work in Cars Land, why are you surprised that cars can talk all of a sudden?). Then the girls dance and cavort to random songs and try to convince adorable children to come out and "dance" with them, but all it amounts to is about a dozen 6 year olds shuffling in a circle around the car while Dad films it on his iPhone.

    Lame.

And yes, I didn't get enough sleep last night. ;-)

The evening I saw it in Cars Land I was in a great mood. Plenty of sleep, a Starbucks in my hand from Buena Vista Street, and a smile on my face.

And then out came DJ. It was just kinda dumb.

The DJ show is one of those typical theme park shows even Disney bombs with occasionally. They get some "interactive" thing out there in an attempt to "bring the land to life" or some such tired management slogan, and the result is less than good.

If it weren't for the adorable children coaxed in to participating, and the giggling parents so thrilled with the fact that little Madisyn and Payton are out there shuffling around with a tarty waitress in a miniskirt and bouffant hairdo, it would be completely useless.

You can tell they were just trying to do something, ANYTHING, at night that involved a car and music. They phoned it in with the DJ show, and it's main purpose is apparently to just clog up the intersection for 10 minutes until it's over.

And that's only for the people in the front of the line, think of the kids ten people deep in that mob who can't see jack.

My kids would both refuse to participate, so I wouldn't even have that. Something like this happened the other day, we were in line and this guy was trying to keep the kids entertained and encouraging kids to come participate, my kids both begged me to hide them.

I'm sure the rubber head shows poll higher in surveys. But I like it when Disney isn't so dang homogenous and tries to put in a little something for everyone, including those of us who LIKE weird and unusual.
