Because of this, they can't use the Magical Express to get to the hotel. All the searching I've done has led me to believe that there are basically no rideshare vans in Orlando, other than the ones specific to the hotels. The things that I'm finding are private vans and limos for around $60 each way, which seems a little excessive for one person. I found an option to take the public bus #111 to somewhere in WDW, and then take the hotel bus from there, but that seems a little complicated and would take close to 2 hours. I guess when Disney started to have the free shuttle, it pretty much drove away all the other competitors in town. Does anybody know of an alternative way to get from the airport to WDW without a car, DME, or selling your first born child? How much are taxis?

Cause I dont think there is a middle ground sadly. I have the same issue with the airport so its not just Disney.. Last time I ended walking the 1/2 mile to the Lynx and taking the bus there vs the 30 buck cab ride (or the 10 dollar a day parking..) -em

I guess it's kind of a drawback that it doesn't run very often, but I think it will actually time itself pretty well with when the flights are getting in (not sure about leaving...I'll have to check). Would it be safe to assume that the DTD stop is the one labeled 3 on the map? And is that in the same general area as the hotel busses? Hopefully the walk won't be too bad (though we will be walking all over the parks, so I guess that's not a huge deal)...

He printed some stuff out, and then gave me a voucher for her to use on her return flight. When I asked him what I owed, he shook his head, smiled and told me to enjoy our vacation. Nice man. Because she was going to be the 3rd adult in our room, I knew I'd have to pay extra. But at check-in, the girl said "Well she's your daughter, so we'll just charge you for a child" Children are free. Another nice person.
