Happy Birthday Tyler! What a lucky kid- celebrating his 5th birthday at Disney! After waking the boys up with our angelic voices singing Happy Birthday, we were off and running again. We had 7:30 reservations at ‘Ohana’s character breakfast, so we made the very short drive over to the Polynesian. What a beautiful lobby! Wow! Maybe we can afford to stay here one day…after the boys are all grown up :p Anyway, they took our family pic before we were seated. It turned out pretty good and we ended up buying it. Breakfast was really good….I liked the fact that they served us family style so we didn’t have to keep going back up to the buffet. You parents know what I mean when you are fixing your plate and the kids plates, then keep having to go back for them. The food was really good, but just as I imagined, Tyler was too excited to eat. That pineapple bread was very tasty! Pluto came out first, then Mickey, then Lilo. We took some really cute pics and they spent a good amount of time with us. The parade around the restaurant was cute. Stitch didn’t actually come out to the tables, he waited in the lobby. I don’t know why. Our waitress was very nice and brought out Tyler a birthday card signed by the characters and a lay. We were all very happy with the breakfast experience. It looked a lot like it was going to rain again, and briefly considered going to MGM, but then I decided to stick with the original plan of taking Tyler to Magic Kingdom for his birthday. Plus he kept asking when were we going to see the castle. So, we drove back to SOG, took the bus to the TTC, then took the ferry over to Magic Kingdom. I was so excited!!!!!!!!! We got there a little after 9:00. This was such an experience…walking down mainstreet and seeing the shops and walking towards the castle. I had been waiting for this for so long! The castle was just gorgeous. I had seen many “real†castles when we lived in Germany, but this was different of course. Cinderallabration had just started so we watched for a few minutes. It was neat but I was ready to head over to Fantasyland. We headed over and rode Pooh first, with a short wait. We all thought it was cute. Plus my hubby’s favorite character is Tigger. Then all the boys rode Dumbo with about a 20 minute wait, while I got our FP’s for Peter Pan, then Philharmagic. I took a couple pics of them on Dumbo, still trying to believe that we were actually here!! Peter Pan was just adorable! I loved it! Then we saw Mickey’s Philharmagic, which we loved as well. This was Tyler’s first 3D experience, and he kept reaching out towards the screen. We went to over to Small World, which was very cute. I don’t think Connor cared for it very much though, but my mom did .We made our way over to Haunted Mansion, with a short wait. The line was kind of long, but when the cast member saw my mom in the wheel chair, she brought us on up and we went into the stretching room. I really liked this ride, especially the dancing ghosts and just the creepiness of it. I was concerned if it would scare Tyler, but he told his Grandpa that he was brave! I grabbed FP’s for Thunder Mtn while we got in line for Splash. Then I realized I should have done this in reverse. Oh, well. When Tyler saw Splash mtn he said he wanted to ride “the water slideâ€. We asked if he were sure because it was a big drop, and again he told us that he was brave J Connor likes any type of ride, so for him, the bigger, the better. We were in line for Splash for about 20 min. when the CM brought us to the front of the line because of my mom being in the wheel chair. Splash was awesome! I think this is when my hubby started “falling†for Disney. I was also proud of my mom for riding it because she typically doesn’t like tall, plunging rides. We didn’t get too wet because we sat in the back. After that, we used our FP’s for BTMRR. I think this was my all time favorite ride. My dad lost his favorite hat on this ride, which he forgot to take off. He was upset, but we laughed hysterically at him because of the face we saw him make when the hat flew off and he was trying to grab for it. Edwin was videoing so we have it on tape. Yes, we watched it in slow motion and laughed some more. Shame on us. We went in Pecos Bills to grab a late lunch. Just as we were about to sit down, the sky busted loose and the restaurant was flooded with soaking wet people. Good thing we already had our food and our table. After we ate, then rain had become a drizzle, so we marched on. This is when Edwin started calling me the “task masterâ€. I was just excited because the lines were not that long, and I wanted to take advantage on not waiting. But I did not go full Commando. Anyway, we went over to POTC. We LOVED this as well. We were amazed how the night sky looked like a real sky. At some point through all of this, my dad realized that he was missing his cell phone. So Edwin and I went all over creation trying to search it out, checking on the rides we’d been on, with no luck. He didn’t let loosing his fav hat and loosing his cell spoil his fun, so I was proud of him J We headed to the Jungle Cruise, which was OK. Then me and the boys rode the Magic Carpets. As I was leaving the ride, I looked down and found a man’s wallet by my foot, with money sticking out of the top. I gave it to the CM, imagining how that poor man must be freaking out. Hope he found it.

Whew, I’m tired just writing all of this. The weather at this point was starting to really cool off, and the sun was starting to go down. We headed over to Tomorrowland and drank some hot chocolate. I grabbed FP’s for Space Mtn. Edwin and I took the boys to drive the cars at Indy Speedway. Connor drove with no help, and I had to work the petal for Tyler. It was fun, but not worth standing in line too long. At this point, my mom and dad were really starting to wear down. My dad said he thought he would be able to keep up with us better, but he was a real trooper. Especially with us all taking turns pushing my mom in her wheel chair. We all rode Buzz Lightyear which was really neat. The boys really liked it. Finally, it was our time to return to Space Mtn. My parents took Tyler to ride the Tea Cups and the Carousel while me, Edwin, and Connor rode space mtn. It was really fun using our FP and passing all of those people standing in line! We really loved this ride! We actually rode twice in a row, because I was sneaky and got a FP for every member of our party, knowing that half would not ride. We finally found a spot right in front of the castle to watch Spectromagic. Just as it was about to start, Connor decided he had to go pee. Connor will hold it forever, so when he says he has to go, he has to go, NOW. So, we find our way, shoving through people, to the bathroom. By the time we are finished, I can’t even find my family anymore, so Connor and I just found a spot that we could sort of see the floats, even though we missed the entire beginning. We stayed and watched Wishes, which was really something else. Gives you a warm feeling inside. Tinkerbell didn’t fly down, maybe because it was windy. I don’t know…is this something that happens all the time? We made our way out of the park to catch the ferry again. We saw the electric water pageant, which was cute. We were all just so tired!! Got back to the room, took baths, and went straight to bed.
