I've come to understand the vast differences in culture and the concept of White privilege which is very real. I have a tremendous empathy for people who suffer discrimination of any kind. My goal is to fight against the inheritance of failure in the urban setting and to make a difference for those students with whom I cross paths. Our urban high schools should NOT be prep for prison. The word "unfair" doesn't even come close. So, yeah, I'm long gone, but every great once in a while (about once a year) I lurk and read and wish my old friends here well. I understand why I didn't get along well with many of you in the past. Maybe I could have a reboot. Peace and love.
