I do want to add that I don't quite understand the "loyalty to DL." It's not like anyone is going to be upset that you went to a sister resort. If anything, I think any "real fan" should be thrilled that you would broaden your Disney park experiences.

I complain about never being able to for some reason or another, but I guess I could´ve visited more than once if I really wanted to. DL is all I´ve ever known and I guess you could call it a loyalty thing, also the being at home feeling I get whenever I´m there. You make perfect sense, I can relate to you.

At Disneyland, that can mean just across the street, but on a week-long trip could save you $1000 or more just in boarding costs (depends on too many factors to list). Staying at the Grand Californian would be a rich treat, but for ordinary folks like me, staying in a clean, inexpensive motel and having all that extra $$$ available is more worth it.
