Planning a trip to WDW in 2010 and need some help choosing the right place to stay. Coming in from Hawaii so the trip is going to be a long one, will be staying over a week at the resort and spending a couple of days at Universal and Sea World too. I've checked prices and some are outright ridiculous. Highest I've seen was the price of new Honda Accord. Albeit it was a quote during the holiday season for a suite at the CR but that was way too much, can anyone help me find the right resort at the right price.

Group of six people, two rooms okay. One is a senior so not too far of a walk to/from transportation. Would love to do Extra Magic Hours by staying at a Disney resort but not a requirement. Summer dates so an in-room refrigerator would be needed.

Where would you stay if you had to travel that far? Help please.....

They are fine for a group of six(as long as two don't mind bunkbeds) they have a full kitchen and offer golf carts to get you to all the places on the resort. They also have a bus system to take you all to the places on the park. For a moderate I would say at one of the Orleans, I've heard nothing but good things about them. You would have to do two rooms, and the frig you can request one but AI don't know if they charge you. With the delux some can have 6 people but you will be paqying the $$$. You can also get a standard room, Wilderness lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge and one the less expensive side of the deluxes. they have queen size beda and also come with a fridge. I hope this helped some and what ever you choose that you have a great time.
    :)
( offsite I don't know any, I only stay onsite)

Last trip to DL used a pin code offer and got (2) rooms at DLH for $159 each, so something in that range would be what I was looking for.

Sorry none travelling with me in military but I do have a US Postal Service worker coming with us, any known discounts? Thanks!

They are nicer. (with a fridge and coffee maker.) Themeing is really good there too. We got 2 rooms at CB in 2007. If I had to get 2 rooms again I would choose a value resort.
We also had 6 nights at Sheraton Safari last month. We had a suite and it was nice. We had so much room! There was 2 queen beds and a sofa with pull out bed. It was only my son and I, but the extra room was nice. Beds were really comfy. We had a fride, microwave, coffee maker, a sink and dishes. The pool was nice too. My son loved the snake slide. There were resteraunts close,7-11 and Burger King. And discount disney stores across the street. The only bad thing was the shuttle system. It was okay in the morning but the way back, times were limited. 5:30, 7:30, or 9:30. Once it took almost an hour to get back because we were at the 1st park they picked up and they went to all the other parks! We ended up taking a disney bus to DTD and taking a cab to the Sheraton the next day. That was only $6.00. (and well worth it!) If you have a car it would be better. We had 3 free nights there too. We got a package through southwest. It was $1,600 for 6 nights, flight and 5 day park tickets for me and my son.
    Hope this helps.
