I wanted us to experience the Christmas season magic but not be there when everyone else is. As a surprise to me, our 16 year-old does not want to go – at least does not want to miss any school. With that, the other girls Christmas concerts that would be missed, and some work meetings I could miss but shouldn’t, we have cancelled this trip. I will be working hard to plan one for the spring around spring break in March. Maybe we can leave early and avoid some of the bigger crowds. My disappointment will fade away and it will all work out with a new trip plan. At least my 16 year-old is taking her school seriously (she is trying to keep good grades for a post secondary school she wants to get in to). My younger 2 daughters had not been told about this trip yet so no disappointment there (it was to be a surprise but that is hard when they would be missing school and concerts). Thanks for listening.

If you children have the week before Christmas or the week of New Years either could still be fun...I know it's hard as the children get older I have 4 (9,11,16,18) and each year it gets harder to convince them that Disneyland is important too (well really the family time together). Maybe if it can be moved to either of those weeks you can still enjoy that time together - I am considering the trip during the new years week a nice way to start the new year and end our holiday season... Sorry you had to cancel...

It goes without saying that, if dwb is going to be at DL, there will be A TON of other LP'ers there also. Having you there also would make it even better. You have my e-mail and cell #. Whatever you decide, let me know and the DW and I will see if we can plan a visit around your next trip. BIG HUG {{{WestWind}}}

We are going during my kids Spring Break so that my DD17 has one last great family trip before she graduates High School. Unfortunately, our Spring Break is the week before Easter so I am sure it is going to be packed. I hope everything works out for your new trip.
