Get those karaoke machines out and start rehearsing kiddies... this is your chance to shine.

Part of what makes the show a success is that those people are really really talented. They are taken from pools across the country. The theme park folks will just be taken off the sidewalk. While there may be some really great performances, I'm afraid that the majority of them will just be painful. And to make matters worse, they are taking a building that fits wonderfully with the theming of the area (it's the one that says ABC on it right?) and turning it into something that will look very out of place. At least it will look good compared to the hat... This is the building I'm thinking of: http://tinyurl.com/yubnkm And why are they getting all synergistic with Fox now? Couldn't ABC at least come up with something to make a decent attraction out of?

To me, that's the appeal of the show. I don't have much affinity for the folks that make it to the final rounds.

And who is going to waste their whole day at the park auditioning and performing. Well if enough suckers show up for the performances that means shorter lines for the rest of us.
