It is nice to have a nice clean movie. I agree with the review however that it is basically a Grease makeover but it is better because we don't have all the sexual undertones in this musical.

    I ageee 100%. My kids loved watching it and I enjoyed watching it with them, without worrying what might pop up that I didn't want them to see. We are looking forward to buying it this week. We already have the soundtrack and they listen to it all the time.

    And when the songs pop up on my iPod [of course I downloaded them for my 11-year old daughter] I actually listen to them.

    True, the music is clunky, the choreography is simple, the script is silly -- but what musical comedy isn't???

    Wonder when Disney will get a clue and create a new animated feature that's a musical. [hint-hint]

    1) My aunt did a lot of the choreography and 2 of my cousins are in it (cheerleaders)

    2) I like the movie :)

    I got it at Best Buy where ya get the DVD and the 2 disc soundtrack for 20 bucks... (beats Marts 17 for the movie..)

This is definitely a movie that, like Newsies will make its mark in musical history. To those who have seen it, you know what I'm talking about. To those who haven't, SEE IT!!!!     If you check out the website, they have had information on high school productions and how to get scripts, song lyrics, etc. for a couple months now.

    The music is so addictive too. Stick to the Status Quo and We're All in This Together are great musical numbers.

    It reminds me of a pop group/TV show that Simon Fuller (American Idol's creator) put together in the UK called S Club 7 that used to feature their music in the show.

    I'm not surprised that the album has already sold over 3m units and is still number 2 in the Billboard 200. I think it is still the top-selling album of the year (with Disney's Rascal Flatts just behind it). It is infectious stuff.

    Kudos for Anne Sweeney and the Disney Channel folks for creating some clean fun that can be appreciated by all.
