I dont think I would have booked at the Embassy if it was non-refundable so far we have two snow days to make up for the school year who knows if there will be more. I have never stayed at the Carousel Inn I hope it will be ok.

While the Residence Inn wasn't bad we didn't feel it was great either. I'm hoping that this will feel a little less shabby. At the very least the Embassy says they have a heated pool and the Residence Inn does not. Their pool was VERY cold in the spring!

Thanks, and I hope 1DisneyNutt doesn't mind me intruding on the post :)

Having a suite is really nice, even if it's only two people. It's so much more comfortable to sit on a couch to watch TV and have an actual living room! When I stayed there with Wendebird and her daughters, she learned real quick (from me, lol) to stash one of the complimentary cocktails served at the Manager's Reception (wine for us) in the fridge to enjoy before bed. Her girls liked being able to bring back some fruit, cereal or yogurt after breakfast for a later snack.

Walking distance restaurants include Bucca di Beppo (in the parking lot), Joe's Crab Shack, Red Robbin and Outback Steak house (next corner). There is a Coco's caticorner from the above. Del Taco is across the street.

You want to look at Embassy Suites South. The actual address is Garden Grove.

I've also read reviews here and there about fire alarms going off, have you had any problems with this?

At Embassy - I have been there several times when the fire alarms have gone off, but it hasn't happened during any of my visits the last two years now. Maybe they've gotten the problem fixed.
