Do you think Le Cellier is worth the current sky-high prices? The last time I dined there was about 12 years ago... at that time I though it was a pretty good value. At today's prices I just can't bring myself to dine there. At Epcot I would rather have the Tenderloin at Chefs de France and spend $15 less. If I want to drop the big coin for a steak dinner I would prefer the Filet at Yachtsman Steakhouse. I think both the quality and the atmosphere is considerably better at the Yachtsman.

I ate there in January, and it was very good but the prices are tough to justify. Obviously the restaurant is popular beyond belief (I think in part due to the difficulty of getting a reservation, rather than the actual quality), but the food just didn't strike me as "best steak you've ever had". Compared to the other table service meals I've had in WDW in recent memory, the price did seem pretty high for what you get

That said, the accompaniments were quite good, and we started with the poutine and cheddar cheese soup which were great. The whiskey flight was also a great option; I particularly liked the maple one!

I agree with you on the cheddar cheese soup and the poutine, but that adds another $20 to the $52 you are paying for the Filet. Having a couple of glasses of wine with your meal would add another $30 to the cost, making the total $102 before tip. In my opinion there is absolutely no way Le Cellier is worth that.

We split the appetizers between the table, which helped even out the cost, but it was still stupid expensive

I went there once. I think it was my very first trip to WDW, back in (I think) 1999. As I recall, they served a prime rib that tasted like they had absolutely no understanding of what prime rib is (i.e., a ROAST, not a STEAK). And I seem to recall that it needed salt, which wasn't, by default, provided on the tables.
