Those figures came from the then-recently-closed World of Motion at Epcot (now TestTrack) I'm not sure if there were ever additional AA's out in the scene itself though

Several years ago, this changed to two on the left and two on the right. For the last several months (perhaps a year or more), it has been one pirate on each side. This is before the lift, before the final Jack Sparrow scene. This does not include the pirates from WoM during the lift - those were removed in 2006. So before the 2006 rehab, there were three pirates on the left AND two pirates on the right shooting at each other AND the WoM pirates on the lift itself.
