Can my fellow LPers give me the scoops on a couple of items for my trip planning? 1) What is the # to make DL Dining RSVPs? and how many days in advance can we make them. I know it used to only be 30 days.. but I had seen in a thread that changed. My buddy that is coinciding my family's trip wants to do the Fantasmic balcony for him and our daughters. I told him "shootz" but he has to be the one to deal with the 3hr time difference between Hawaii and the West Coast. 2) Anybody stay in the Desert Inn that is across the street? The booking rate is really good for a hotel so close to the park. I wanna know if it is clean. Last year I stayed at the Tropicana, it was not bad. 3) Planning on going to DL for 5 days (Sept. 13 - 17). Besides military MWR rates, are they any other that are better? My dad is retired USAF so I can ask him to purchase the passes, but wanted to see if there were comperable rates else where. BIG MAHALOS for any posts. Feel free to just say "Aloha" if you are so inclined. I do have to apologize -- I have been an infrequent visitor to the boards. My 3yr old demands so much of my time. I have video and pix from my Oct. 2005 trip that I've wanted to share... just been preoccupied. Aloha!!

I surely envy you and think of you everytime I visit my refridgerator! If you visit disneylandresort.com, you will find alot of info including the number for dining reservations. If it wasn't so late here I would go look it up for you! I can't sleep at the moment!

The Disney Dining number is 714-781-3463 (DINE) Fall Ticket specials are not usually announced until late August or early September, but I doubt they would be better than MWR rates. And when it gets close to your trip, don't forget to post in the meets thread.....

Paradise isn't what most people think it is. I never go to the beach, because I am too tired working my tail off to make ends meet(kinda like thinking that people in SoCal go to DL everyday). Here's a quick run down: Gas... almost $4/gallon Townhome... 900 sq ft living space... $400,000 (I'm not going to depress you with my mortgage payment) Taxes... one of the highest in the nation Education system... one of the worst in the nation (thank the democrats in Hawaii) Airfare to Disneyland... avg $350 r/t per person 365 days of golfing... PRICELESS Had to throw that in there. Any ways... of subject. Thanks for the shoutout.

However, the dates are dictated by my wifes business trip. Sept. 7 thru 10, she will be attending the MADD National conference in Anaheim... HEY ONE LESS AIRFARE TO PAY FOR. So my daughter and I fly in on the 10th to pick her up after the conference. From there, we drive to San Diego for 2 days and spend the remaining time in DL. Sounds like we need to make Wed & Thur a priority to ride all the good rides and then expect the crowds Fri, Sat, & Sun. Thanks again. If you got any other info... please feel free to post.

We moved into an apartment across from the beach about two months ago and we havent gone over there ONCE. Work and family and being tired just gets in the way! I live in SoCal across from the beach and I spend all my time in the house. Its sad.

Hey SleepingBeauty82... interesting to see that the same applies most of us. You know what's funny... when I came back from SoCal last year from my trip to DL, I came back sunburnt and tan. My co-workers ribbed me about it saying that I had to leave Hawaii to get a tan. Go figure.
