Oz is the original American fairytale to me and as such retellings often change things in the same way that European fairytales are changed. Sometimes it's to the good and sometimes not so much, but I actually quite like the darkness of it. That might be a European thing!!!

Or gives a "from the people who brought you..." It was weird. Maybe it seemed weirder since every animated movie trailer today touts it's pedigree throughout; I guess they're ashamed of Hoodwinked if that's their biggest claim to fame. And it doesn't help when your trailer is edited to look identical to something that would be the third trailer on a Barbie DVD. Unfortunately I speak from experience. I also thought a May release date was pretty gutsy.
