The crowds where huge, I have never been to the park when it was that busy, usually try to avoid it on busy days. It was very hard to walk in some areas there where too many people, im sure it was probably sold out again.

I don't think you'll hear the recording on the monorail just call it "The Magic Kingdom"... I think it actually says "Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom". Only in non-official comment (like from the KABC news anchors) would you hear them call it simply "The Magic Kingdom". As jonvn said, when they built the WDW version, they named it "The Magic Kingdom", because they didn't want to call it "Disneyland". That changed when they built "Tokyo Disneyland", as all the other Disneyland copies built thereafter have been called "Disneyland", with the name of the city in which they are located associated with the official name of the park. (Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland.) So we now have five "Disneylands" worldwide, and only one of them (The Magic Kingdom in Florida) is not called "Disneyland". Furthermore, those five parks are now referred to, collectively, as the "Magic Kingdom" style parks, to differentiate them from the other parks such as Epcot, Tokyo Disney Sea, DCA, etc. So the special distinction that the original Disneyland in California once held in worldwide cultural awareness has been severely watered down, both literally, and figuratively. But for those of us who grew up with the one and only "Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom", DISNEYLAND in California is, thankfully, the only park that is called simply "Disneyland".

Does it still at least say "Paris Disneyland" (or Disneyland Paris) on the main sign outside the park?
