Currently, it is in its starting stage at DCA, and the only option is to buy photos the same day, and you buy them at the old Kodak stands.

They hope to get the entire system up and running in the next couple of months

    Yours came out great!

I like the new PhotoPass system that's a Fab idea.
We always buy those pix for a memory to take home and are forever handing over bits of tatty paper at the end of the day to some poor CM that has to search for all the pix one by one, this has to save heaps of time for everyone!

Thanks for keeping us up to date once again.

I'm not really sure about the confetti being gone. I kind of liked it, but it just looks really boring now that it's gone. I think it should have some sort of design up there, since it is so huge and dull looking right now.

For the wait board, I noticed yesterday that Indy isn't on it. I don't know if that is new or it's always been like that or what, but that surprised me. It's also good to see that they are starting to paint the lagoon. And there's still the projected Mickey 50 on the curtain in the Steve Martin show, if we are keeping track of the 50th things around the park.

Do you know why the parks were so crowded yesterday? I only got to the AP Renewal center in DCA, since a friend was renewing, but it seemed to have a healthy crowd around 1:30. Then we headed over to DL, where it was packed. By the time we got over to Indy (probably about 1:50), the FP return time was 6:20, and standby was 65 minutes. When we went over to HMH, the FP's were gone (around 4:00) and the standby wait was 80 minutes. The Roger Rabbit FP's were gone by 3:45, and the standby line was 60 minutes, and the line for POTC had been routed onto the Fantasmic! viewing area in the middle of the path, where it reached the pirate show stage. Was there something going on that I didn't know about, or is this just an overwhelming response to the HalloweenTime stuff I noticed several kids dressed up, so that may have something to do with it, but I also noticed more people without kids than I usually see.

As for why, I think a big part of it (and why you noticed less kids than normal) was the large mailer that Disney sent out to Southern Californian residents that had a free 1 day ParkHopper voucher good from October 1st thru November 15th.

Add to that the fact that Disney has been pushing the Halloween Time event to AP holders, which is driving extra AP visits in a short time period (5 weeks)....

Sounds like the Garden Walk site is in error.

Disney does have plans for this property.

As for the actual center -- it looks to be sort of Paseo Colorado meets Horton Plaza -- but not as interesting. Certainly not as intersting to look at as The Grove.

And while I suppose it's exciting for the City of Anaheim, it is afterall, just a shopping center.

They've been doing this at Great America for at least 10 years now. I always found the photo takers annoying for some reason.

You can buy your photos online up to multiple weeks after your visit at Great America? The photo-takers, of course, I believe that. But the true genius of PhotoPass at WDW is that you buy your photos from home online - no standing in line at the parks.
