How long until an axe slips out of someone's hands into the crowd, or the head of an axe breaks off, or a chainsaw malfunctions, or a woodchip hits somebody in the eye? It just seems like so many things that could go wrong! I can't tell how far away the audience was, but it seems like guests were relatively close In general, I agree that the premise of the lumberjack show can work in this location (though the venue clearly wasn't designed for it) but this show needs some serious work. I was never especially fond of Off Kilter (especially how you could clearly hear them across the lagoon), so I'm open to change, but this result leaves me somewhat cold

One could argue that the El Rio/Grand Fiesta changeover had a big enough impact that they're 2 completely different things (same with the 360 film updates in China and Canada), but it seems like the Maelstrom changes will be far more significant than those. At the very least, I would expect entire scenes to be rebuilt from the ground up, rather than simply swapping out one set of film for another
