Anyone for one person's decade old country music soon to be on sale at Wal Mart only?? Would your life be so incomplete because you didn't hear someone sing one or two songs? Personally, I love the trend of the buy only what you want to hear. And, I have learned to wait before buying someone's latest CD. I want to be sure I will still be listening to it 2 or 3 mohths from now. And, I prefer to collect things that have value at first purchase and will only grow. A person may have every Julie Andrews album ever released but, how are they set up for retirement - or for that matter - for the next earthquake or Hurricane? I know, I know - one person's treasure is another's trash. If it bothers you that much - Be vocal. Write snail mail letters and put you concerns into dollars and cents. "I didn't buy the latest (soon to be one hit wonders) Cheetah Girls release because of your deceptive marketing practices used in the past with (fill in the blank)." "If seven or eight months from now, another version has not been released, I will buy it from BMG or Columbia House and get it for $7.00." They will respond to that if they hear it from enough people.

Let's think a little before posting such ridiculous statements.

Why did Apple come out with a new iPod Nano? Didn't the "old" one just hit the market last year? Couldn't they have given us the new features last year? Does that sound like a ridiculous argument? Yes, it does, and so does complaining about special releases.

Now it seems that every major chain is selling a slightly different version of the same titles. The best you can do is to look over the Sunday ad papers each week to see who is offering what, and at what price.

Naturally, I didn't make the same mistake with the subsequent films of the trilogy. Has any company done a simultaneous release -- a one disk version for those who just want the movie and a two-disker available at the same time for those who want all the extras. One comment on the cardboard packaging. I see why you prefer the consistency of the jewel case. The first CDs I saw using the cardboard packaging were from artists trying to be more environmentally aware. Cardboard is gentler on the environment to make and to get rid of than plastic. Did Disney do it just because it's cheaper? I guess you could make that assumption.
