His tastes were very middle-America and he could focus. Iger shares that, and an appreciation for the "commonality" that made the Disney Company's products over the years appealing and desirable. What's more, he seems to be at least somewhat intent on bringing that company back to a time where it's a nice place to work.

It was amazing to continue down the article and find how all these people had shaped my childhood and growing up years. Thanks again this made the end of a physically and mentally exhausting week a mental vacation. This is exactly the stuff that keeps me coming back to Disney for my escape from the often harsh and deadly realities of my everyday life. And it sites like this that give me that direct line.

I have to admit, I got a little misty-eyed when I saw the Joe Ranft was inducted as a Disney Legend. To quote Cars, "behind the clouds, a silver lining." I was surprised to see that Peter Jennings earned a spot in the Disney Legends since I normally don't consider ABC News to be "Disney"(even though I know they own ABC). But anyway, it's great he was honored as well. My favorite new honoree would have to be Sir Elton John. I love his songs in the Lion King and his additional contributions with Lebo M. in the Broadway version as well. It was also a pleasure to see one of my new friends(Margret Kerry) at the ceremony as well.
