In terms of Soarin. I was gripping on for dear life myself. Sorry we requested row #1. I think that the row swings backwards initially making you lean forward while the row moves into the air. In the past times I have riden Soarin, I don't recall the lights going out while the rows were being lifted up and down. Maybe I'm wrong. Once I was up in the air I was fine. But I still think your are forced to lean forward while the ride gets into place.

for me ( not being a heights guy I) liked the fact that they turned the light out while they raised you up
that way I didn't know how high I was

Soarin really makes you feel like your flying and once I get over the heights thing and the movie starts its one of my WDW favorites

    Keep them coming Doobie
I love the Living the Disney Life!

Doobie at least you and I appreciated all the mechanics behind that ride. While Kennesaw Joe and I were riding Body Wars we did the same thing getting off the ride. I had never realized that their is one story of mechanics behind Body Wars. The Wonders of Life Pavallion is still a lot of fun. Hopefully they will keep it active for a few more months for people to enjoy.
