Most of the hotels we have called are at or near capacity (we are looking for the entertainment rate), one hotel told us a bunch of dance and soccer groups were coming in, but that was all the information they had.

I could not find anything on the Convention or Disneyland sites.

    Just curious ~ Thanks!!

    3/4 - 3/10 Natural Products Expo West / 50000 / 6500

So these are both large Conventions on either end of your trip - with these you probably have many that will come early and stay later...

I got this with the dates entered

There a few small ones too - but those are 1300 people or less.

Also sometimes if they think they'll sell out a hotel will "pull" Entertainment/AAA/AARP/Government/Military rates. If they don't sell to expectations these rates will suddenly re-appear. Even after you make your ressie, check back you may (or may not) get a better price. Just the nature of the industry. Also some chains are more generous with Entertainment (Ie. Howard Johnsons) others like Westin won't be offering it. I've stayed at Westin's that were pretty empty (front desk will admit under 20% occupancy rate) and they'll be trying to charge walk-ins near full price.

When I went on the website just now and plugged in the ET code SD50 It is still giving the rate for the dates on all their rooms (most of the rooms are showing as $59) If you only use the two dates. If you add the night of the 4th it raises the rates for all three dates. I would call the in house reservations to get the resservation with the ET rate for the first two days and book the last at bit more. Make sure you are at the in house reservations, not the national number. Call the front desk and ask for them. When you get to reservations, make sure to ask if they are actually at the hotel. If not, call back to the front desk and tell them you only wish to speak with reservations at the hotel. You could ask for Jennifer Vitalis, as she is excellent and has made all my ressies for the year!

We've had reservations at both Hojos and Carousel Inn since October (thought we might try some place new if we could get a good discount on a suite). When we booked both, we were told to check back and see if the Ent. rate would become available.

Carousel Inn never had the ER become available (we have since cancelled).

After regularly checking Hojo's Boards and adding a day here and there we now have 5 days of ER and 3 days of regular rates.

We were just surprised as we have always received the ER and when no days were available or hard to come by...we wondered what event(s) were going on. We thought we picked a good week since it was after President's Day week and right before the Spring Breaks started.

We are very happy to have what we ended up with though!! We were not able to get a Premium room and will be staying in the Pavilions and that is fine too. Heck, we are going to be in Disneyland, that's whats most important! :)

    Thanks again!!

I think we will just ask at check-in and hope we get lucky! :)

    Thanks!
