I deal with the outside world enough in my daily life, so it's nice to have a vacation where you can just cut yourself off; being in the middle of the ocean sounds like a pretty good excuse to be cut off to me!

There's just so many other options of things to do on a cruise (or do nothing at all but relax) that I'd welcome the opportunity to unplug. Probably a generational thing.

The main time we spend on the internet is late at night when there isn't much else happening. The main adults only club is open until 2 AM, but in the hours after midnight they are pretty deserted, and the only entertainment is a DJ. We are usually more than ready to go back to our room by midnight. Even the adults only pool closes at midnight... although you find people using it after that time, we tend to follow the rules. So if you are night owls on vacation like we are, the internet is about it!
