That is pretty horrible for a Democratic President if only 20% of those 50% can be attributed to Republicans...

That would be assuming that every single Republican automatically disapproves of the President (not a big stretch for the lock-step crowd, I'll admit).

I've heard plenty of complaints from the left side about him being too Moderate, too Corporate minded, and not Liberal enough fwiw.

Link please? Even with his "worst poll drop in 50 years," he's still above 50% approval.

Don't have a link, but I don't have any reason to doubt it (doesn't matter much anyway at this time of year...when election time rolls around it'll matter more I suppose).

That is complete bunk. His average disapproval rating is at 44%. Only Ramussen has it above .500. But that poll is faulty gage as it only polls likely voters, not the general populace.

I also think the 20% number is way, way off.

Like I've pointed out before, a great number of teabaggers (Glenn Beck, crazy person, included) do not call themselves Republican. They defended Bush for eight years and then the second he was out of office they insisted they didn't like him either.

So while a lot of people refuse to self-identify as a Republican, when it comes to actual voting, they, for all practical purposes, are Republican.

This does not make me anything remotely resembling a Republican.

I know! I love it. These people adopted the name for themselves, apparently unawares. Then they tried to change it to tea partiers, but the damage is done. I will forever call them teabaggers, and it will forever be funny. Just like Larry Craig jokes will forever be funny.

It's getting better. Hang in there.
