Why not take my DL annual pass bet if you are so sure? For an added bonus, if I lose I will leave the site forever. You won't take the bet because you know you would be losing $800 bucks and you start these threads because they take no real skill or thought. We can send the money using paypal, Neteller or Firepay. Sack up man.... bring it on.

Since incumbents of any party have a far easier time being elected, I would be surprised (though not shocked) if the Democrats actually took control. I will make one bet with you though Beau… that among contests where there is no incumbent, the Democrats will elect more Senators and Representatives than the Republicans will. Do you have the guts to take that one on?? The real test will come in 2008 when there is NO incumbent. I think then you will see the level of American's disgust with the present administration. I seriously think even Hillary could run and win that one.

Lots of noise but nothing to back up their opinions. Get ready for the voting machine excuse!! I like your challenge though... I need to look into the matchups regarding how many races have no incumbent?

I think many (stupidly) thought that Lieberman was too Jewish, too short and not good looking enough to be at the top of the ticket. The Democrats keep trying to come up with the next John Kennedy. Who knows... maybe looks DO matter. The most successful Republican President of the past fifty years was also the best looking -- Ronald Reagan. The most successful Democrat Presidents of the past fifty years were also the best looking -- Kennedy and Clinton.

Which is why I would have liked to have seen Schwarzkoff or Powell run.
