I would hope that this might mean that they would just let the parks speak for themselves, but I know that won't be the case. The current "Let the Memories Begin" campaign is ironically forgettable, and began late last year, after the volunteer campaign finished unexpectedly early. All signs point to them continuing this campaign for another year, but I really hope that isn't the case. If they must 'celebrate' something all the time, at least make it something that's somewhat memorable. The current campaign just doesn't fit that. Next year will be interesting for WDP&R, since DCA will be coming out of its big overhaul, and WDW will have relatively little to show. Other than the Art of Animation resort, I don't think they have any plans to open anything new of any marketable substance in calendar year 2012. That makes it really tough to do one of those generic one-size-fits-all ad campaigns that they've used in the past (though they managed to make it work for DL's 50th, when WDW got 4 new attractions 'as birthday gifts'). In the oh-so-unlikely event that there's no ad campaign next year, it will be the first time in over a decade that WDW hasn't been 'celebrating' something. Millenium Celebration: October 1999-December 2001 100 Years of Magic: January 2002-December 2002 Where Magic Lives: January 2003-April 2005 Happiest Celebration on Earth: May 2005-October 2006 Year (and then some) of One Million (and then some) Dreams: October 2006-December 2008 What Will You Celebrate?: January 2009-December 2009 Give a Day, Get a Disney Day: January 2010-March/December 2010 Let The Memories Begin: October 2010/January 2011-present Whatever it is, I really hope that it's not a continuation of the current run of schlock. Yah, it's fun to think that little Mindy could be in one of the photos that they project on the castle, but the overall effect of the ad campaign is pretty bland. Keep the show if you want, but please give us something fresh for the new year. Has anybody out there heard anything? The internet has been suspiciously quiet on this one...

I guess they can't do much worse (like YOAMD), so there's plenty of room for improvement next year.
