My biggest problem is the seeming need 24 has to have a shocking, jaw dropping moment every episode. So the most loyal of characters suddenly become traitors, secondary characters become murderers just to add tension (Kim's boss when she's a nanny), etc. I'm really ok with an episode or two that's more methodical and slow to let the plot develop and unfold. I don't need someone getting shot or something blown up every episode.

The last two seasons have just been terrific.

The show continues to provide lots of moral condrums, from the shooting to everything about racism and treatment of citizens during wartime.

I know that Jack was expected to do it but maybe he could have placed the shot in an area where Curtis would have survived. Hey they do that on the soap operas all the time Anyone else watch Numb3rs? Don't you wish Peter MacNichol was really flying around in space and not being all sleazy on 24?

I knew something was going to happen though with the way Curtis was acting. O.K. the ending shocked me too.....didn't think they would actually detonate the thing!
