I have no doubt that this information will be directly related to how they roll out early FP+ reservations for off-site guests

For my previous trips, we made our FP+ reservations about 2 weeks in advance and everything was still available. I wonder what window will be given to off-site guests, since it's nice to still have some semi-last minute flexibility as an on-site guest. I would think 7 days is plenty of time to satisfy both, but I have no idea what they'll end up with.

It will also be interesting to see if they can use the in-park kiosks for future FP+ reservations, and how this might impact the queues to use them. I assume the technology is there, but they haven't turned it on yet

I would hope that the system is smart enough to delete/cancel all FP reservations made by an AP holder if their ticket has not been read by an entry turnstyle by a certain pre-determined time before the FP resservation is to become effective. In other words... the FP reservation cancels if the system knows the APer has not entered the park by a certain time before the reserved FP time. But then again... I am only wishing that to be the case.
