As someone who only visits once in a while as a Day Guest, FastPass+ has been a big negative for me. Since I can't get my times before I go to the park, I now have to wait in line just to get my reservations for the day - and God forbid I have to change anything!

I can see how this system would be good for Resort Guests and Annual Passholders, but as far as being a one day every once in a while guest like me, it's a major negative right now.

** As a caveat to this, I will say that the two times I went, the parks were extremely busy, so I'm sure that didn't help. Hopefully on less busy days, the system will help out more people than it hurts.

I want an insiders article ( journalistic quality) that truly discusses what this means for the future beyond the onsite/offsite guest's day by day analysis. Currently we are looking at this from a selfish small sighted analysis. Did it let me sleep in later? And I didn't have to run around the park to grab a paper FP.... Maybe I am the only one that feels so cautious about this future World place. I would like to be more optimistic but my brain has this warning flashing nonstop. Alert Proceed with caution cause there is no turning back. It is as f Disney is trying to be way too controlling and selfish and greedy corporation; when I want to be the one that is the selfish greedy in control single consumer. And it is just not fair!!!

My wife and I are heading to EPCOT on Saturday afternoon. I just booked FP's for Test Track which my wife hasn't seen since the updating and two other attractions. It was easy, the times available worked perfectly for us and it offered my several great choices. The biggest complaint I have heard is the only 3 choices and no FP park hopping. Personally I am ok with both. One of the reasons you FP's for popular attractions were gone early in the day was from people grabbing 6 or more FP's in a day. I think the new system evens the playing field. Everyone gets just 3. I have found changing to be fairly easy, though as the day gets later it is harder to change an E-Ticket for a later time. All in all our family loves the system.

I think people are making a big deal out of nothing. A lot of it comes from people who haven't used the system yet or are having to change the way they did the parks in the past. Those who used Legacy FP commando style are probably the unhappiest.

As someone who really knew and understood the old system, I'm probably among those most impacted by the change, but there were elements of the new version that I liked. There was some relaxation in knowing that you already had some FPs in hand before you even got to Florida

One big downside to this system is that you book your attractions blindly, without knowing how busy the park or any individual attraction will be. You can use some general rules to help (Soarin' is crazy popular), but some of the traditional rules (HM and POTC have high capacity and quick-moving queues) have been completely thrown out the window. It will take some adjustment, but no more than when FP was first introduced

Overall, I enjoyed the system. It is very different than the old one, but not terrible. The people who will benefit the most are the first-time visitors who know nothing, since they'll be able to guarantee several attractions with limited waits (even if they make foolish choices). People like me are impacted the most, but I still walked away with an overall favorable view of the program
