Not nessecarily bad, but quite different And I agree that it looks like this was designed specifically for kids (even if the overall parade wasn't), but that seems to be par for the course at MK. During my 2 recent visits I was shocked at just how many families we saw with toddlers and no children older than about 5-6. It's a very different demographic from DL (or even some of the other WDW parks), where there are plenty of kids, but most of them are old enough to walk all day and meet the height requirements, and it's not as unusual to see an adult-only group. It seems like MK is very successful with that demographic and knows how to attract them, but it definitely added to the feeling that everything had been aimed toward the lowest common denominator when the cartoon themes were added to every single attraction imaginable. It really made me think about whether MK was a place for having fun as an entire family as Walt intended, or if it was a place for the kids to have fun while the parents get second-hand fun from watching their experiences (...second-hand fun...that might need to become a thing!)

Well, ok, the Frozen part of the princess float is different, but I'm actually shocked that most of this parade seems to be recycled design. I thought Steven Davison did all-new stuff...was he hamstrung by WDW budgets? What gives here? Seriously, look up Jubilation! and see the floats for yourselves.
Originally Posted By FerretAfros It was fairly well known that they were using a couple floats from Jubilation. Given that they are the most detailed floats in the parade, and how few guests weill have seen them in both parks (pictures don't count), I'm okay with it. If they were recycling simple floats like those in MK's old parade that might be an issue, but I'm fine with these ones specifically

That being said, not all the attraction posters are even done in the same style now.

The MK is simply catching up here. This is not a ground breaking endeavor. They could've put Harry Potter on a float and only Disney fanatics would have noticed. Me? I'm just glad they didn't add a marvel/star wars/muppets float here, as it would have been a rolling symbol of how unfocused and uninspired the Walt Disney Co has become in the last few years.
