The 4th of July show over MK and Seven Seas lagoon started 10 minutes late but it was worth every minute we waited for it. However, the show was identical as the one presented last night. It was a lovely evening over Central FL, and we witnessed a lovely sunset over the western horizons, and the pool and beach area in the Poly was pretty crowded. OVER at EPCOT... Reflections on Earth started on time at 10pm. We were treated to the usual nightly show, then had a 3 minute extra special finale. This show went the classical way...with music from several famous American composers such as Gershwin. The special finale was OK. The fanning effect over American Adventure was the highlight of the show. While they have always shot pyro around the perimeter of the World Showcase lagoon, I do not remember if they have done the swaying fan effect over the American Adventure building before. It reminded me of HKDL's Disney in the Stars, which features a similar sequence. Very pretty. The final moments were very loud and brought the house down. My opinion on this... while the EPCOT show did deliver big time.. I have seen better shows here before during the 4th and also over new year's eve. So, this year, I felt the MK show was much more impressive. Photos from my cellphone will be up in a few moments. Check back shortly.

If this had been Xmas, I would have had the Xmas tree right behind me. Better yet, I managed to get pass some people who were sitting on the floor and standing with lots of room around, so it wasn't difficult getting a good point. By sheer luck, I stood behind someone's stroller, which provided a great view of the revolving World TV monitor and most of the action around the lagoon. Better yet, the winds blew to the right of my location, so those guests standing around the UK and canada area may have gotten smoked out. BTW.. I stood next to a group of off-duty CMs. I could tell they were Cms by their manerism and Mickey tees and clean cut personality. College program kids maybe. Funny how I can spot CMs a mile away the same way I can spot fellow gay and lesbian family in a crowd. >>Was this a surprise to you?<< That it was the same show tonight? NO. But I anticipated someone asking me sooner or later so I had hoped this would kill that chance. But you had to ask Labuda.. tisk tisk.

That show ended at 9:20pm. Then I Walked to TTC. Hopped on the Mono to EPCOT, and arrived there quickly. It took about 18 mins total. Got lucky the Epcot monorail had just arrived at TTC when I got to the boarding platform.

I think what I enjoyed most was seeing the whole Illuminations show and then the added Fourth part. The last 60 second were just like being inside a pyro factory as it went up (I know, not the best analogy but ...). I also liked that they kept the barge on for at least an hour after the show and played patriotic music until at least 11 p.m. Great show! The MK show just didn't strike me as much as Epcot's -- but it was pretty terrific too. Maybe it's a show best seen from the beach at the Poly and not the middle of Main Street USA!

That was a good location and one I concidered breifly until I settle in the dead center area. The winds blew away so that helped.

I don't understand why people were staking out spots hours ahead of time when you can show up 15 minutes before, stand in a good space and not miss anything.
