    And from the sound of it, these are new characters that aren't in the films, right? I'm sure that there's some elaborate backstory about why they're doing this (for the Junior Piston Cup?), but I would guess most kids want to ride in a recognizable character

    It also brings up the question of what exactly is inside the Cars in the movies. It already got a little weird with the bathrooms in the 2nd film, but they didn't really go into it much. Are there people inside them, driving? Where do baby cars come from?
