It seems as though I've seen Cars previews for years. BTW, does anyone know the move that the trailer first came out in? Also, as I watched the DVD of High School Musical, they did it again. I can't remember the name of the movie, but it's one for 2007, I think.

Pixar's teasers showcase animation you won't even see in the finished film and just let you get to know the characters and get excited about the movie. Take for instance Ratouille. I'm very excited about the movie but yet I do not know very much about the plot beyond the very basic setup. Brilliant marketing. Also, they don't tend to attach the teaser with anything but their own films. So I won't see that teaser over and over before the film comes out. And I still don't know anything about Pixar's release for 2008. If only the rest of feature animation would take a page and stop doing blanketed ads like they did for Chicken Little or the frenitc "let's show as much as we can in 90 seconds" ads for Meet the Robinsons.
