The reason to have a studio park is to let visitors get a glimpse "behind the magic" of Disney's feature and animated films. When it first opened, you could see animators at work, and the soundstages were actually being used to tape shows like the new Mickey Mouse Club. When you were at the park, you felt like you were within a studio that was vibrant and alive. Now, you don't get that feeling at all. Until Disney decides to use the studio park for more than a boneyard, you'd better not expect the skeleton to grow any fat.

Disney had a hard time filling its soundstages and getting folks to use their backlot, just like Universal Studios Florida did, and eventually they gave up. The remnants of the studio facilities are now used to support the theme parks. In fact I thought the park might do well in cutting the film pretense and reveal the work being done at the park. Sort of a theme park backstage tour. The Disney-MGM Studios is still being rebranded. It will never be what it was, but perhaps we should judge the park after its transformation is complete on its own merits and not compare it to what it was. I miss the old Disney-MGM Studios, but sadly, I start to have to let go and start moving forward.

Mainly because all the parks are becoming Pixar parks. It's a shame the real studio things didn't work out. But MGM has always been about the Golden Age of Hollywood and it not being a real studio does not change that. The Tower of Terror and Rockin’' Roller Coaster have nothing to do with a working studio, but they fit the Hollywood theme. Having a vague movies theme is just an excuse to turn the park into one big Fantasyland. There are so many cool things that Disney could go to keep the theme intact. Since the backlot area is supposed to be a live action studio why not add more rides and sets from some of Disney and Touchstone’s live action films. Most have no representation in the parks and Lord knows Pixar does! More Star Wars stuff would be good as well. I hope they don't ruin my favorite WDW park.

It's lacking because it hasn’t had a major new attraction in a while. Obviously they felt confident it was popular enough to basically ignore it for a few years while they tried to fix the snoozefest that is Epcot.

I would always make myself known back in the ST and me and my brother were always involved, although it was always in the "Gilligan's Island" section. That was way fun. I just hope it's as fun as that. Sincerely, John Kilduff... P.S, Any word on whether they'll be upgrading the interactive exhibits you empty into after you exit Sounds Dangerous?

If it wasn't for the Great Movie Ride, Tower of Terror, MuppetVision, and Rock n' Roller Coaster, I would probably skip the park altogether now. I do love the theming of Hollywood and Sunset Blvds, but, the rest of the park is rather bland and empty. It's amazing to me how DCA gets slammed for lack of attractions, yet, Disney/MGM has much LESS than DCA does! This park needs a new E-Ticket much more than even the Magic Kingdom does (and the MK is desperately needing at least one new one, too!). At least DAK and Epcot are getting some new attractions. Somehow, I doubt that Toy Story Mania alone will change this park for the better. But, if some of the changes happen that I've been hearing, it should possibly turn this park into something much more respectable and popular. Let's hope some new top-notch attractions are added here and to the MK soon!
