It's a shame that they're still using that style ~15 years later I hope that the redo of the street party is better than what they have now. Although it seems to get semi-decent crowds, it's just a lot of noise with nothing much going on. I thought that the DL version, which had multiple stops along the parade route and continued to build on itself throughout each performance, had a much better flow to it. But I'm keeping my expectations low

ORWEN: I think these particular street parties are more popular with guests who are seeing it for the first time instead of repeat visitors. After a while they fall kind of flat and grow stale. The one good thing about them, though, is that they give guests a chance to get pictures of certain characters that they might not, otherwise, come across. ORGOCH: Got happy feet?

It sounds like Sebastian, Lumiere, Mad Hatter, et al will be replaced with Mickey and friends. There may still be some semi-rare characters at street level, but I suspect it will be more of the same ones we see everywhere
