The second time I made reservations early and got prime seating. I was right the first time.

I can see a show that is just as good at one of the second-tier productions in Branson and eat the same quality food at any one of a number of all-you-can-eat "Boo-fays" there. All for a fraction of the cost of the Hoop... If I enjoyed that sort of thing, which I don't, so I don't bother.

Any others out there who feel the same way about the Hoop-Dee-Doo or am I a total Disney outcast?

That said, it's become a long-time tradition for many visitors, and, while pricey, there's really nothing else like it on property.

It is not a fantastic show either, but the setting is beautiful, the food is more to my liking even if it isn't memorable, and it is different from what I could see or do in Branson. The only show I truly look forward to at WDW is La Nouba at Downtown Disney.

With my rather limited knowledge of the show, it's amazing to think that it's still regularly selling out shows 40 years later, in spite of its remote location. They must be doing something right!
