Even the most efficient meet & greet has an hourly capacity that's below the slowest-loading spinners. Although having 50 characters to chose from theoretically disperses the crowd, it doesn't account for popularity of certain characters or the realistic capacity of the event

I've read other reviews that commented on a similar problem that you faced with Gantu, where groups were taking multiple pictures with different combinations of people in each one. If they really want to focus on having high-profile M&Gs, they should follow TDS's lead from the Oswald M&G. There, each group is allowed a single photo on your camera (and a couple quick shots for PhotoPass, if that's your thing). A CM will review your photo with you just outside of the character area (while another guest is interacting with the character) and will retake it if you're not happy with the result. If you want a different combination of people in it, you go to the back of the line and wait again. It really helped move the queue along, while also allowing a decent amount of interaction time, since you were just smiling at a camera for minutes on end. Especially for the high-demand M&Gs and special events like this, it seems like an obvious solution
