Couldn't agree more. It's just terrible. Disney please, please, please, hire MAD Architects, Zaha Hadid, Snøhetta, George Lucas... ANYBODY that understands contemporary modern design aesthetics and give them complete control over Tomorrowland, because it's obvious that WDI hasn't got a clue.

But I prefer my theme parks to be places of beauty.

In this case it's a theme park we're talking about, so authenticity may or may not be the first thing on the list of objectives for the designers. However, if Tomorrowland, or any thematic land, is to be believable the storytelling needs to jive with what the storyteller is trying to say. FLE, Carsland, and WWoHP do this. The painted on color-block scheme as shown in the photos doesn't. It would be like painted the Space Needle, The Gateway Arch, or LAX's Theme Building red and orange. Over on the DL boards there's some disagreement about the new details in NOS resulting from the expansion of Club 33, and it's true that exterior renovations are a bit awkward, but at least the place still looks and feels like New Orleans. For the two US TLs though the changes over the past few decades have resulted in some of the best examples of WDW's worst work, and the Peoplemover red and orange paint job is no exception.

It will be about the only danged thing in Tomorrowland that is. I don't know why on earth anyone would try to replicate someone's 1971 vision of the future.
