They talked last year, using the Dream Along with Mickey 'heads'. It was truly magical. This year they were there for about 30 seconds on camera.

I like The Disney Channel guys, don't get me wrong. I did enjoy the 'Celebrate You' song from Corbin Bleu (along with the free download!) but the opening number with Miley Cirus was nothing compared to the 'Dancing With The Stars' opening last year. I also felt that some of the stuff was completely force-fed to the audience (how much more scripted the cameo with David Archuleta could sound?).

Some of the script was also very unimaginative. Sorry Kelly, but I am a little tired of hearing you say 'oh boy oh boy oh boy' every parade when you see Donald. And they used the same jokes for a couple of the floats than last year too.

I did enjoy the sequence of the years with Regis, that was a lot of fun and a great way to 'Celebrate Him' and his great work.

Finally, while the show is broadcasted in Canada on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the website www.disney.com/celebrate videos that were referred to were only viewable by US residents. The only thing that worked was the song download.

I'm sorry to say, but for me the 2007 parade was truly magical. For 2008, it was just OK for me. I wished more for the silver (25) anniversary of the parade. I've been watching the parade for about 15 years now and it is the first one that I had some disappointment. While I understand it is a 'World' and 'Land' infomercial throughout the 2 hour long show, it is the first I watched that didn't feel seamless.

I wish... oh! I wish that the 2009 parade will bring some more coverage of my beloved characters.
