A "mini" disappointment !

    It's not the golf ball, it's the principle and a microcosm of another of the "little" things that Disney used to do being taken away.

    I think the free ball might have started as a promotion of sorts, a few years ago. They might have just finally ran out. We played Winter Summerland in October and we got free balls, and candy canes after both courses.

    Actually, they have had different series of balls over the years, changing the character every couple months. So it wasn't a one-time thing.

    I know Sharpie pulled their sponsorship last year, which meant no more free markers--they may have been underwriting the cost of the balls as well. (The idea was to write your score on the ball as a keepsake.)

    I got what I think was the last copy of "Now Is The Best Time Of Your Life" sheet music that they used to give away at COP. I asked a CM back in the early 80's and he told me they didnt have anymore and had stopped giving them out. A few minutes later he came up and handed me a copy and said he had found it in the office and it was the last one.
