    "Court of Angels"

I walk into an enchanted place
    Where ultimate peace is bred.
A place where beauty is born and kept
And where true life is seen at its fiercest.

Here, the sunlight pours like honey
Into the circular confines of this outdoor alcove.
It drips into the crevices of the walls
Pools in the corners of the floor,
    And saturates
    The graceful,
    Circular,
    Languid staircase growing within.
It hits the cut crystal in a nearby shop window,
And begs the scalding rainbows it creates
To plaster the white walls with their utter brilliance.

Here, the potted flowers yawn and stretch,
Revealing an array of marvelous colors,
    Sacred shapes
    And dense texture.
    Their inner faces light up
    And they turn into canines,
    Shaking dew from their coats.

Here, I come to sit in eager respite,
    To find a silent repose,
    And to finally know
    The growth of beauty
    That is happening within me.
