So of course, I pick up the phone and call 407 W Disney, and this is where I lost my patience... I get a voice response systems that asks me every question possible under the Sun *except* giving me an option to talk to a real live CM in the reservation dept. After hundreds of prompts and being told I was elected for a 10 question survey.. (trust me, they would not ask any relevant question.. like "Are you happy with your experience at WDW or on this awful telephone voice response system?") I skipped and finally was connected with a live operator. I commented to him that it took almost 15 mins to get to talk to a real live person and that is ridiculous...and asked, what if I was on a long distance call??? All he could say was the customary and robotic.." we apologize for your inconvenience" Jada jada. Anyways.. I proceeded to explain what was happening to my as I attempted to buy some tickets and was wondering if he knoew how to solve this problem or offer assistance.. His response verbatim was "I actually... DO NOT KNOW" I was like... "you don't know?" He says, "unfortunately, I don't" I said "well since it took me longer to get in touch with a real person, that it would take me to actually drive from my home to WDW's gate.. do you at least think you can help me buy the party tickets over the phone, or do you not know how to do that as well?" ..and mind you, it took all my might to say it in the most polite way, since I personally DO NOT put up with bad service or employees who do not how to do their job or at least be personable about it. At WDW or anywhere. Reason why I don't shop at WalMart. So then he goes... "oh, sure.. is that what you'd like to do??" I thought to myself "D'UH!!!" I replied, "Yes, I'd like to if you please" So after putting up with some isiotic questions such as... 1)as you staying in a hotel at WDW? and 2) have you been here before? I finally had to laugh and tell him... "I am a local APer if you need to know so let me save you some time so we can get this over with please.. it's taking a bit too long!!" Sensing my displeasure.. he quickly completed my trasaction, and proceeded to advice me the tickets will be available for pick up on the day of the event at the MK ticket windows only. I asked... "when I have done this online, I have been able to pick up tickets anywhere on property and usually they are available the next day after purchasing on line... Can I do this as well?" Very bluntly he goes, "NO! at the MK window on the day of the party!" I go.. "I see.." Then thanked him for his help. Ordeal was over. I sure hope the MNSSHP will be worth all the trouble I went thru to buy those tickets!!!!

Last year when I did it by phone I was told I would have to pick them up at the MK on the day of the event with all FOUR members of my party there with APs for each. When I said that one ticket was a B-Day present for a friend, the guy didn't budge. To make a long story shorter, after buying them in like May, I went to a window at the MK in August alone and with only my driver's license and AP, had all four printed out. This year when I ordered by phone I assumed I'd have to do the same thing. But a week later they were mailed to me. No clue.

My phone has a call timer and it reported 59 minutes and some seconds, just to convince them to let me pay the money they had demanded from me. :-(

As a result, it was impossible to make reservations at Ariel's Grotto! ORGOCH: So, we went an' complained at Pest Relations--as if that did any good! ORDDU: Indeed it did not! The people at Guest Relations seemed totally unaware and unwilling to do even the slightest bit of detective work to solve the problem. ORWEN: We kept trying to follow up on the situation for several months, though. ORDDU: Eventually we were able to talk to someone who had just a little bit of a clue as to whom this problem should be reported to. By the time we got through to the Manager who was REALLY able to handle the situation, he admitted our complaints sounded familiar to him and it explained why even Cast members who worked for Disney Dining couldn't get through to their managers when they wanted to call in sick or just get in contact with their own department! ORWEN: As of July 2006, Disney Dining out in CA has a much more user friendly way of making priority seatings--without any more of those awful dead end recordings that leave a guest so frustrated. ORDDU: But one would think that this problem would have been addressed much sooner than it was. It often seems that no one at Disney is paying attention to the inner workings of their own company! No wonder so many seemingly simple problems pop up without an easy resolution.
