With all the fan uproar at getting rid of the 2k ride, why not bring it back in a different fashion?

They could place it in MGM with all of the other movies, but make it better/different.

They could make it into a high speed dark ride adventure type of roller coaster, but it wouldn't be traditional. It could be kind of like the old Toad's Ride in Fantasyland where each ride vehicle would hold up to 4 or 6 people. The ride vehicles would each be shaped like the Nautilus. It could ride on an elevated or suspended track giving you the feeling that you were in the middle of nothing...

It could be a fast ride, but not as fast as normal roller coasters...there woudl be no loops, but lots of dives and jerkiness. You coudl come face to face with the squid and other monsters of the deep. You could see Nemo sinking ships and going mad. You could 'surface' at one piont in the ride (it would become lighter in one room), and you coudl be chased by the natives of New Guinea.

I think it coudl be doable, but it probably never will be done. :(

Just build anything that involves the sight of a Nautilus sub in FL and I'll be more than happy to give it a chance.

They could do a walkthrough tour of a sub or something ...maybe even put a sub in the lake next to Gertie the Dinosaur or something.

It'd be really cool just to put some of the subs out in Bay Lake on a track, going around the island at different intervals...making it look like Nemo is cruising FL.

They could light up the eyes at night and have it ride next to the ferry boat and submerge at different times.

THAT would be cool to see!

I don't like it when people make statements like this... NEVER say NEVER. If there is a will, there is a way...

    And if there's a will ... there's a lawyer!

Truth is, most of us will indeed never get there. But I keep planning anyway.

I know you're not trying to be rude, but your comments come across that way.

I know what you mean when you say that you can do anything you want, but for some of us who have children that we're raising, mortgage payments, college funds, retirement, etc...it can be a huge stretch to go to Disney in a different country.

We're lucky enough to get to WDW once a year. Havne't been to DL in 15 years, but will probably go in the next few months or so.

Either way, just wanted to say that you sounded a bit insensitive.
